Last Week's Featured Cake:

SESAME STREET CAKE!

This Sesame Street Cake was for a first birthday. It was a 10 inch and 8 inch round 2 tiered cake. The bottom was butter yellow cake with pastry cream filling and the top was a chocolate cake with double chocolate mousse filling. The whole thing was wrapped in a double layer of vanilla buttercream and decorated in rolled fondant and gumpaste.

  3. How did you get your red fondant so smooth and rip-free? I have been making fondant cakes for just about a year. Red seems to be a popular color, but short of buying it, it is a nightmare to work with!
Thanks SO much for any tips you'd be willing to share!!!
